Alright, they tell us that Paul Heyman is finally getting his hands on this stuff, and will be running more of creative from here on out.
Is that true? Will we see the results of that on-screen this quickly?
Let's review!
I don't want to get political here, but honestly this shouldn't be a "political" issue. We have a public health crisis on our hands, that will take strengthening of many resources; including increasing access to mental health services, and tighter restrictions on the manufacturing and sale of firearms.
The rest of the world has shown us the way; plenty of crime data statistics show that you and your loved ones are at a statistically higher risk of death or injury from your gun ownership.
Let's all stop fearing and fighting each other; or at least make that our default thought process.
Anyway, back to RAW!
This was good! I wasn't expecting the opening video to get interrupted, and Joe was believable in his promo. That's nothing new, of course.
I like where this is going; I'm assuming we'll get more of the "whodunit" concept later in the show.
I like this match. I appreciate the twist of the pairings; where it wasn't face and face vs heel and heel.
They mixed the heels and faces, and it added extra layers to the story.
Natty could be a heavy favorite in this match at SummerSlam.
I'm not certain they'd go this way, but I imagine the roof might go off if Natalya were to win that title.
I do not want this.
This was fun. I'm not sure why it always has to go immediately back to R-Truth, though.
I wish some of these other characters could get a little more time to continue their stories.
I still don't have sympathy for Seth Rollins. I still think Brock Lesnar is cooler than Seth Rollins.
It's not working; the attempt to make Seth the star.
They should do something meaningful with these guys, already.
This is getting noticeably boring.
This was cool. For those that haven't been long-time fans of the podcast; Tom and I live in Kansas City, where Harley Race is a, possibly THE, local wrestling legend.
Admittedly, I'm a little too young to have witnessed Harley's heyday as it happened.
I have had the chance though, through the podcast, to meet and interview several wrestlers, managers, owners, and the like that were trained locally by Harley.
Every single one of these people had nothing but amazing things to say about the man.
The wresting world definitely lost a legend, and from what I've heard from first hand accounts; the world lost a good person.
The Fiend strikes again! This time, Wyatt used the Mandible Claw again.
Tom said, on the podcast, that Bray did this to Mick Foley, most likely because Foley can't take any other kind of bump.
Perhaps we have a similar situation with Angle? Perhaps this is the secondary move for Wyatt to use on people that can't take The Sister Abigail (or whatever the hell that other finisher is called)?
Is he simply just going to use the Claw now? I guess we shall find out in due time.
This wasn't terrible or anything, but it really wasn't anything spectacular either.
Not everything can be a homerun, I suppose.
This is what I'm talking about! Who tried to kill Roman?
We can know for sure that Samoa Joe wasn't behind the wheel, but who was? Are they working with Joe?
Will Joe be cleared of any involvement in these acts of terror? This is the stuff that makes people want to tune in next week!
I think it's a good thing they put the titles on on two women that they actually intend to tell stories with.
Did everyone else see, on The Kabuki Warriors intro graphic, they used Io Shirai's name instead of Asuka? Not a good look. Did WWE hire Britt Baker when I wasn't looking?
I've come around to Tom's way of thinking. I don't mind using the legends sporadically like this, throughout the year; provided that helps us avoid things like The Raw Reunion.
And hey, if Goldberg gets a chance to redeem himself, I'm sure he'll deliver a decent performance, at least.
We all know Dolph can work his as off. He can sell like crazy, and is fully capable of making Goldberg look like a million dollars.
This could end up being a damn good match.
Overall, I liked this week of RAW. There was definitely some more attention paid Ty longer term storytelling.
Will this continue through SumCommercial and beyond? I guess we shall see.
Of course, more to follow in next week's WWE RAW REVIEW!
